Production process

All of our stainless steel cannulated tools are manufactured according to a precise and proven in-house production process as described below:

CUSTOMER DRAWING ANALYSIS

Together with our customers, we analyse both the geometric and technical aspects in order to establish the best solution for the aesthetics of the tool.

  • Geometry
  • Function
  • Aesthetic appearance

Our aim is always to find the most advantageous solution.

iii

SEMI-FINISHED PRODUCTS FROM GRINDING

We manufacture the semi-finished products entirely by grinding, starting with steel bars that have already been cannulated to obtain very precise geometries:

  • cylindricity ≤0,003mm
  • eccentricity ≤0,05mm

iii

SHARPENING

We sharpen the cutting parts with linear motor grinding machines, which guarantee the highest quality and precision.

iii

SURFACE TREATMENTS

After sharpening, the tools undergo the following finishing treatments:

  • Complete deburring
  • Elettrolucidatura Ra<0,15µm (a specchio)
  • Cutting edge honing Radius 8/12µm

These treatments significantly increase tool life, resistance to oxidation and improve the user experience.

iii

LASER MARKING

Ability to engrave standard or customised graphics and coding such as depth markers (notches), codes, logos etc.

Thanks to state-of-the-art laser technology, which does not alter the chromium (C) in the steel, thestainlessness of the tools is preserved even during marking.

iii

PASSIVE

To ensure the stainlessness of steel tools, we passivate them.

This treatment increases its durability and determines its suitability for medical use.

iii

DLC COATING

(Optional)

To maximise performance and tool life, a DLC coating can be applied. This treatment is biocompatible and comes with a "non-cytotoxicity certificate".

iii

VARNISHING

COLOUR

(Optional)

A visual recognition coding can be applied to this type of tool by painting a surface section (coloured ring).

The treatment involves the exclusive use of biocompatible (non-cytotoxic) paints.

iii

CERTIFICATE OF

MEASURE

All our tools are tested according to the strict standards imposed by ISO 13485:2016 certification.

At the end of the production cycle, each batch is accompanied by its own measurement certificate.

iii

STOCK MANAGEMENT

In order to facilitate recurring supplies when necessary and to optimise stock management costs, when ordering we offer the possibility of organising the storage of material at our premises and of activating scheduled tool supply methods even over the medium/long term.
